Tiring Work [read 6th ]

[Demon]

Demon was thinking that too and so she said "Ok, but really did anyone see you?" she asked unsquinting her eyes. Her black hair flowing and her redish human eyes glowing. "Put those in your pocket in case we need them later." she said picking them all up and handing them to Mia.

[Mia]

"No, no one saw me," Mia saidm grabbing the bottles and putting them in her pocket. "Good," Leo said, relieved.

[Demon]

Demon jumped at the sound of a car passing by. It was deep in the woods. Who would be there?, she thought. A man stepped out of the car. He was wearing a white lab coat. A DOCTOR! Demon grabbed Mia and hid in the bushes with the others. "Someone did see you Mia!" she exclaimed. The name tag said Dr. Zurko...

[Rayne]

Ryne changed to her human form, she clentched her fists.
God I hate humans. She snarled to herself.

Jaro also changed to a human. His jaws were quivering nervously, Humans...I hope he's not here for us...Or me...I hope I'm not going back.. His eyes grew wide, Back..there....

[Mia]

Mia's eyes went wide with surprise. "Someone saw me?" she asked, suddenly being pulled back into the bushes by Demon. "I didn't hear anyone in the 'Meds' room." Mia said. "There were probably cameras all over in the Workplace!" Leo whispered, in the shadows now. Kaaye was with him and they, too, had changed into humans.

[Rayne]

Ryne suddenly changed to her wolf form, then back to a human again in the blink of an eye. her teeth were bared as a wolf; and her wists were clentched as a human.

"Should we wait for him to pass through, or attack?" She turned to her comrades.

[Kaaye]

"I think we should wait if he comes near us. Then if he comes too close, we'll attack," Kaaye suggested, changing into a wolf. Leo and Mia changed into their true forms, too.

[Rayne]

Ryne nodded in agreement, and changed to a wolf.

Her fangs were bared, and her different colored eyes were focused on the man stepping out of the car.

Suddenly, a flash back came back to her for a moment.

Lightning. Lightning flashed in front of her.
Ryne froze, the flash of light reflected in her terror struck eyes.
Suddenly, there came a loud crash. She looked to the sky, lightning has struck the trees, and now the enflamed giants were crashing to the ground.
Ryne was right in their path...

Ryne slammed her eyes shut, then opened them again to look at the aky and the trees overhead. her paws were trembling with the memory of the storm.

There's no storm coming. She panted, and turned her attention once again to Dr. Zurko.

[Kaaye]

Kaaye and Leo had their eyes locked on the doctor. Mia looked down and saw Ryne's paws shaking. "What's wrong, Ryne?" Mia whispered.

[Rayne]

Ryne again, looked up at the sky as little bolts of lightning struck the sky. Her eyes grew wide.

"...Storm..." She gasped, "Lightning storm..."

[Kaaye]

"Wha'?" Mia asked. She looked up at the sky. She saw streaks of lightning flash across the sky. Leo and Kaaye then noticed the lightning. "A lightning storm?" Kaaye asked.

[Rayne]

Ryne shivered, recalling what had happened to her in the last lightning storm when she was 9 months old.
Her pupils grew small, and the fur on her back stood on end.

Thunder roared on Ryne's ears as the trees overhead were falling straight for her.
Lightning lit up the land, then was gone, making the land dark again. It was night, and the flashed of light made it difficult to keep your eyes open.
Lightning came again, setting the forest floor to flames. Fire danced in Ryne's different color eyes.
The first tree came crashing to the ground a few yards away and caught to flames as dust flew into the air.
Ryne coughed as the rest of the trees fell like dominos to the soil.
One tree right ahead of her was trembling terribly, Ryne froze.
"It's gonna fall." She gasped, as the tree went crashing on top of her.

Ryne could almost feel the weight of the tree pressing her to the ground. She opened her eyes to see herself pressed against the forest floor.

Quickly, she regained balance, and sat on her haunches again. But for some reason, she couldn't shake the smell of fire from her nose.

[Demon]

Demon was panting with fear. Dr.Zurko turned his head as he heard the panting. Demon stopped in the airplane postion. She bared her teeth, fur bristling. She jumped out of the bushes and bit Dr. Zurkos neck. He quickly took out his pocket knife and stabbed Demon. She yowled in pain as the body guards turned around. She stared at them. Then, she bit Dr. Zurko's neck again making blood spill out. He took in his last breaths and died.

[Rayne]

Ryne was too shocked to move, her eyes were wide. Should would of charged at the two body gaurds, but something was holding her back.

"The storm.....can't come again.." She rose to her paws and looked to the sky as lightning cracked again. Making the land lighter then it was.

[Leo]

"Demon!" Leo growled. "You were supposed to attack only if he showed a threat!" Leo jumped out of the bushes. So did Kaaye. But Mia stayed back, not wanting the doctor to notice who she was.

[Demon]

Rain started to fall. Right then a lightning strike came right down on Demons paws. She gave a huge yelp of pain as the lightning bolt caused a huge cut. Slinking back she realized she couldn't take on all of them. The lightning bolt had almost killed her and the rain came down making her blodd seep into the river...

[Rayne]

Ryne's eyes grew wide.

A storm has come, Ryne, I have sent it to you, and your gang of filthy mongrels.

Ryne shivered at the sound of a voice, it was Lord Peace.

"It was you..." She whispered, "..Who sent that other storm, and you tried to kill me with a fallen tree..."

Lightning cracked again in reply.

Ryne slowly looked up from the forest floor. Her eyes were burning with anger.

"You almost had me that time, but not this time. You've seen so much blood and violence already, how much more do you need?" She snarled, leaping at one of the body guards.

[Leo]

Leo lept at one of the other body guards. Who was Ryne talking to? Mia thought.

[Demon]

Demon shrank back. She was concentrating on her paws. She didn't hear the river. She fell into the river backwards. Her legs flailed and her head spat back water. Trashing in thje coldness of the water, she lost her breath. Letting go of the waves she fell back into the water. Under the water she hit rocks on her head and body. Cutting her and making her bleed. She then had the flash back again.

"Yeah right." Her father snorted. Knocking into him sending him flying off the cliff. Into the gorge his head bobbing up and down in the water and finally go under. Looking down in fear.

Its that whats going to happen to me?, she asked herself as her head went under the water again.

[Rayne]

After knocking a guard to the ground, Ryne jumped back to her paws as the storm ragged on overhead.

She ran along side the river, watching Demon's body flow through the rapids.

"Demon!" She howled, "Keep your head above water!"

Ryne ran on, keeping almost perfect timing with the river's strong current.

Suddenly, a tall oak fell in front of her. It's branches were flames and smoke obscured her vision.

Her pupils grew small and her eyes grew wide. She suddenly remembered when she was 9 months old, when there was a lightning storm.

She felt her heart sink, Demon would drift down the river, and drown probably..

Ryne slowly lifted her head, her green and blue eyes has flames of fire reflected in them.

"Not this time." She swallowed her fear, "Not this time!" She shouted, adn leapt over the burning, fallen tree.
