Southern City: Dog WorkPlace Jaro panted heavily as he felt the whip come down by his paws once again. Almost with no energy left, he pulled again with his comrades. Jaro and his pack were Working Wolves - with no choice if they wanted to or not - in the Southern City. The humans here would take in any stray dogs or wolves and train them to work. You'd see old dogs, puppies, or adult dogs here, pulling heavy carts for the humans. Here, you would also see many deaths. "I can't go any farther." Jaro panted to his packmates. "You have to." Bru gasped, almost falling onto the ground himself. "I can't.." Jaro closed his eyes as he felt the whip come down across his back, "I can't.." He colasped onto the ground. OOC: Jaro is going to tag along with the "Paradise gang"

"Don't worry, this one's not dead. he's just very tired."
Jaro opened his eyes to see two humans standing by him. He was ina small room, probably the inspection - or vets - office.
"See?" ONe man pointed to him as Jaro rose to his paws, "He's fine."
"I'm glad." Said the other man, Rob, his trainer and owner. Rob grabbed Jaro by his numbered collar and dragged his off the table and back to the WorkPlace outside.
"You gave us quite a worry." HE growled as he harnassed him to the dog team.
Jaro lowered his head.
Once the harness was safely attached, Rob tooka step back and cracked the whip.
Startled, jaro leapt forward with the weight of the cart holding him back.
"Hike!" Rob yelled, as the cart began to move forward by the pack of exsausted wolves and dogs.
Jaro didn't know it, but he too was part wolf.

Ryne stepped inside the building. Inside she was horrorfied at what she saw. Dogs, and wolves, working and pulling heavy carts..For humans.
Her mouth fell agape.
"W-w-what?" She stuttered.

Mia and Kaaye walked in behind Ryne. They gasped.
Leo sighed and followed.
Leo's eyes widened slightly in disbelief. There were dogs and wolves of all ages pulling carts for humans. "How horrible..." Leo whispered. "How cruel..." He looked around. It disgusted him. He watched one particular group of dogs and wolves pull a cart. The group of wolves Leo watched was where Jaro was. The dog, Jaro, looked tired to Leo. Well, so did all the dogs.

Ryne clentched her fists, "How could humans do this." She growled, ready to turn into her true form and charge at who was responsible for this, "How could humans..use our kind to do their work.." Her gray human eyes were just about ready to transform into those of a wolf.

Jaro looked up from his work. He spotted a group of humans in the doorway.
More trainers? He sighed, then looked at them again, Something's not right about them. They're not just humans...

Ryne ingored Leo's comment, as her clentched wists changed into the paws of a wolf.
Her teeth were bared, as her eyes zipped around the room, pondering about who to attack.

Jaro gasped, and froze in his path. These humans were....wolves...
"Hey!" The human shouted and cracked his whip by Jaro's paws, "NO stopping now!"
Jaro lowered his head and walked on, keeping an eye on the newcomers.
OOC: It'd be cool if someone was caught here, like Mia or something...(The humans think it's easier to train young dogs and wolves then it is to tame older wolves like Ryne or Leo or Kaaye.)

"Ryne!" Leo said. He sighed. He coudn't stop her now. Mia and Kaaye changed into their true forms. Leo sighed and changed to his true form, too. What's the use...? he asked himself. Now that everybody else are wolves, I guess it doesn't matter if I'm one...
OOC:: yeah, Mia should get caught. ;B muhahaha im evil. Imma make Leo feel sad and depressed when Mia gets caught. And he's gonna think its all his fault.

"Stray dogs!" A man yelled when he caught sight of 4 "dogs" by the doorway. As he got closer, he realized they were not dogs. But wolves
"Son of a ^#*%!" He screamed and fell backwards onto his butt.
Ryne snarled, and leapt forward, pinning him to the ground. The gray wolf suddenly changed to a human girl, then back again to a wolf. Her different colored eyes were burning with fire.
"You just had too, didn't you?!" She snarled.
"HELP! WOLVES LOOSE!" The man yowled.
4 Reinforcements came running with ropes and whips and knives.
"Which ones should we take?" One of the 4 yelped.
"Get this one off me first!" The man Ryne had pinned to the ground ordered, "Then take the youngest ones, they'll be easier to train."
Ryne ducked her head as one man swung a lassel at her. She stared at the man with confindence in her eyes. Is that the best you can do? She seemed to smile to them.
She leapt off of the man's stomach and stood by her comrades. Her gray fur was bristeling, her teeth were bared, and her tail was curled up against her back.
"Bring it on." She seemed to say.

At this time, all the dogs who had been pulling the carts for the humans stopped to watch more wolves get captured. Among these groups was the black "dog", Jaro. Jaro didn't know it, but he too was part wolf.
"Oh please don't let them get caught." He closed his eyes, "PLease."

Oh, Ryne... Leo thought. You just had to change... He sighed and stood infront of Mia, his teeth bared, growling.

Kaaye lunged herself at one of the men, aiming for his neck.

I can protect myself! Mia thought indignantly. She ran out from behind Leo and lunged at a man, her teeth bared.

"Mia!" Ryne yelped, "Listen to your brother!"
But it seemed it was too late.
Frustrated, Ryne launched herself at a short, fat man with a small pocket knife.
"This'll be easy." She snorted and wrapped her jaws around his arm, forcing him to drop his weapon.

"Come here wolfie." The third man held his arms out to Mia, and when she leapt at him he securily held onto his tight. "You won't get away." He laughed as he threw the lassel around her neck and walked to the back of the building where the Dog Pound was located. The Dog Pound was where humans would break, and train the wolves or dogs they caught.

The man who Kaaye lunged at fell to the ground, with blood around his neck and on the floor below. He groaned in misery as 2 more reinforcements ran over to help, this time they hah two large wolves to help.
The male, a brown and dangerous looking one, lunged at kaaye, while the other leapt at Leo.

Jaro was growing restless, "I have to help them! Bru, can you bite through my harness?"
"Sure, I guess." The old dog woofed, confused, and began to chew.

"MIA!" Leo yelled. "NO!" He jumped for her. But he was pinned to the ground when the wolf landed on him.

"LEO!" Mia cried. "HELP ME!" She struggled to get away. But she was choked on the rope the man had around her neck.

Kaaye turned around to see a big, brown wolf coming at her. She jumped to the side, hopefully missing the wolf.

OOC: What if they all get caught....but escape....but then Mia's still caught..  "Get lassels around them!" One man ordered. Lassels flew through the air; some at Ryne, some at Leo, and some at Kaaye, as the handlers called the two wolves back to their sides. ________ The brown wolf fell right onto his face. "You broketed my nose!" He whimpered, and did not get back to his paws. OOC: "You broketed my nose!" is from the movie, 'The Longest Yard' ^_^ ____________ Ryne suddenly felt a lassel swing around her neck. She lifted a paw, another lassel hooked around her paw. Agnered, she reared up on her hind legs. More ropes. She reared up again, in attempt to free herself, but theat resulted in being flipped to the ground. Men rushed over to the tripped wolf, and placed a muzzel arouns her snout. "You won' t be biting us." They snickered. Ryne squirmed to get free, but she couldn't. These humans were strong. Suddenly she felt a small pain at her flank. She turned her head, a human has just ingected her with something. She felt her paws go numb and her vision blurr. "No.." her eyelids closed, "Kaaye...Leo..Mia...No.." _________ Jaro was free. And he had a plan. When the humans had captured the wolves, or at least most of them, he would sneak into the Dog Pound where they would be held, free them, and lead them to the exit. Genius. He beamed. Jaro was more then terrifyed of attacking the humans here, and admiring the wolves' bravery and courage. |

"Ryne!" Kaaye and Leo both yelled at the same time. They lunged themselves at two different men, hopefully killing them.

The two men fell to the ground, dead. Now, only one man remained standing.
He clentched his teeth together, "Oh god." He trembled.
"Shoot the wolves!" The man with the brown wolf yelled to him.
THe frightened man steadied the tranqulizer gun, and aimed for Kaaye, and shot, quickly - not checking to see if he had shot the wolf - he aimed for Leo and shot.
"Please god, make me have hit them." He prayed quietly.

"Ok, c'mon." Two men lifted the gray wolf and began to bring her back to where they had Mia being caged. "God, this one was a fighter." One man grunted at the knocked out she-wolf.

Jaro waited in the shadows, waiting for his chance to help the wolves.

Kaaye felt something sharp in her flank and fell to the ground. She suddenly felt drowsy. She fought to keep her eyes open. But she lost. She let her eyes close and everything went black.

The tranquilizer bullet whizzed past Leo's ear. That was close... Leo thought as he sunk his teeth into the man's shoulder.

The two men who had the wolves quickly shooed them off, before they both ran to the fallen white wolf.
"Does this one need a muzzle?" One grunted as he lifted the wolf.
"No," Replied the other, "This one's not as fierce as the gray wolf. This one will be a god worker. As will the small pup. But I think the Gray wolf and Black and white one might be too hard to train." The then carried kaaye to the Dog Pound, where Ryne and Mia were being held.

"d**n!" Shouted the man as he saw he missed the shot at Leo. His anger was quickly cut shot by a burning pain in his shoulder. He fell to the ground, stunned. No humans remained, those who were watchign the fight, were to scared to jump in and help.

"Hey, wolf." Jaro barked, stepping into the light, "I can help you get your friends back before it's too late."

Leo spun around to the sound of someone's voice. "How?" Leo growled, angry that all his friends were gone. Especially his sister. Leo narrowed his eyes. "How can you get them out?"

Jaro lowered her head, "Cause I know all of the alleys and corners of the warehouse. I've...I've lived here my whole life. I'm just a working dog."

"Working dog?" Leo said. "You're a wolf. Or at least half wolf. I can see it in you." Leo had the feeling that this dog had a bit of wolf in him. "Now, take me to my friends."
