No one knows how many times the wolves have renewed the world; it's a mystery as old as time itself. Perhaps it's an endless cycle- create a Paradise, try it for a time, watch it fail, then go the endlessly painful quest to start all over again.
It's a quest as timeless as time, and as deeply ingrained into the wolf's blood as breathing, running, hunting- living itself. Every sense strains toward the moon-flower, the Key that starts the path of renewal.
The humans are of a special kind, created as Kiba envisioned their best aspects- and the promising alchemy that was used to such dark ends, though wholly re-imagined, has still brought them to the same ruin that threatened the other world. Only a few have the potential to change it for the better, joining the rebellion against the corporations that brought the near-Armageddon, fighting as a member of the resistance or simply trying to stay alive.
