Demon was in the burning ring of fire, still. Suddenly, when Ryen jumped through the fire the jewel flashed. Bright and blinding. Then just as it had flashed it had gone. What happened? Demons eyes slowly opened. "Ryne...." she weezed. Smoke filled her lungs and burned her eyes. Suddenly, Demon sensed Koko, running, through the flames. But, what had the jewel flashed for? To save Demon for a sacrificed life? Demon put on paw in front of her. Coughing. She puleld herself up. But, she was still to weak... She fell on the floor, with a loud thud. The jewel bounced on the ground and stopped in a few seconds. "I have to find Jaro...." Demon weezed. "He could be dead..." Demon said tears started filling her eyes. She didn't care about HER anymore, she wasn't thinking about herself, burning, hoping, waiting, watching. Demon looked at Ryen and coughed. "Why?" Dmeon said everything turning black and fading.

Jaro heard pawsteps walking the wrong way, he turned just in time ti see Koko leave.
He wasn't sure what to do, he stood there for a moment just listening to the fire crackel and Koko's footsteps disappear.
Ryne scanned the ground for Demon. After a few seconds she had found her. THe black wolf was lying on the ground, and suddenly there had been a flash of light.
Ryne turned around, making sure Leo was alright, then she charged over to Demon.
She bent over and shook the she-wolf with her hands, "Demon! Demon C'mon we gotta go! The others are worried sick!"

Leo followed Ryne, a sudden flash of light blinding him. He stepped back a bit, stepping into the fire, his pants catching flame. His eyes went wide and he turned around quickly and looked down at his pants. "Gah!" Leo cried, stamping his foot on the ground, trying to put it out. He sucked in a big gulp of air, his lungs filling with smoke. He coughed, his throat dry.

Ryne turned around to see Leo, "doinga dance". She raised an eyesbrow at him in confusion, then she saw the problem. His jeans had caught on fire.
Kneeling by Demon on her knees, Ryne called to the "dancing wolf".
"Leo! Stop - Drop - and Roll!!"

"Okay!" he said, dropping to the ground. He started rolling on the ground. Finally the fire was out on his pants. He stood up and walked over to Ryne and Demon.

Ryne looked the other way, at Demon, to try and prevent herself from laughing.
"You ok now?" She yelped, her voice coming out shakily like she was about to laugh.

Koko finally slowed down. It was near a river. She took some water a splashed it in her face. Why had she done that!? Koko stared at her reflection. The wolf staring back at her only gave a blank expression. Koko swiped at the water. It's ruffles distorted the reflection and once it finally set her father was there. " Hey Dad " she whispered with a small smile. The reflection showed a man. He had a sweet smile on his face. Then the face grew furry and turned into a wolf. Koko just smiled even more. He looked toward the moon and so did Koko. She rolled her eyes back to the water, but only her picture was there. " Hm " she laughed softly. With that she got up. Her eyes were normal, with the exception of the tears tracks down her cheeks.
She moved through the trees. " Where are they? " she asked herself. At least she should try to get back to Sakura and the others.

"But, what about Jaro..." she coughed. Still trying to get up. "I'm not leaving him..." Demon rasped. She put a paw in front of her, again. Shakily standing up. "Koko...?" Dmeon coughed and yeleld at the same time. She heard Koko's voice. But, she couldn't find out were she was. This time. She didn't fall, but she was half way falling there. "Ryne, where are they?" she asked her. She looked at Ryne. The jewel dangling from her neck, still glowing. It glowed, bright. "Jaro, is dead, isn't he?"

Ryne held out her hand for Demon to grab if she needed help getting to her feet.
"No, no. They're all fine. Kaaye, Mia, Sakura, Jaro, Koko, Rose, all of them. Ther went to find a safer place, and we need to go to. Leo and I came to help you."
Ryne however, did not know the whereabouts of Koko.

Leo looked down at his pants. "Yes, I'm alright." He knelt down beside Demon and Ryne, looking at the ring of fire around them. His legs felt weak and the heat of the fire was unbearable. "We should get out of here." he said.

Ryne nodded in agreement, "Yeah. But how're we going to get Demon out of here, if she can't walk on her own?" Ryne looked at the ring of flame around them, pondering the question in her head.
"Demon, can you stand?" She woofed.

Demosn necklace flashed brightly again and it was as if she was lifted to her feet. She got up, easy. "Woah." Demon said and look at fire. "Yes, I can stand..." she said. Burns covered her dark black fur. The flames danced around them. My necklace has some kind of power...., she thought. She began to run and the burned tree that tipped over hung in her reach. She ran quickly jumping on the burned log and jumping high above the flames. The wind ruffled ehr fur as she dive bombed to the other side. Then, she looked back at them.

Ryne blinked dumbly at Demon's stunt, "Whoa." Was all she could manage to say.
"I guess it's my turn," Ryne changed to a wolf and steadied herself.
She turned to Leo, "I'll meet you on the other side,"
Then turning her attention back to the wall of fire in front of her, she leapt into the flame.

"Okay." Leo said, readying himself to jump. He stared into the wall of flame, memories from the past fire flashing in his head. No. Leo thought, shaking his head. He jumped, his eyes tightly closed.
Leo landed on the ground, on the other side of the wall of fire. He opened his eyes.

Koko maneuvered about the trees. Her search for the other's wasn't going so well. She tossed her head around in confusion. " This is what you get for getting separated " she told herself. Her boots stomped the ground. She stood there and growled at herself. Man Koko was stuck, or was she. " If I can't find them by scent then lets try howling " she turned to wolf form and tossed her head back. Her throat let out a long, loud howl. Hopefully this would help locate the others. She stopped and stayed in her wolf form. Koko began passing back and forth. " What should I do now? " she asked as she appeared human again. She bite her lip causing just a little blood to spill.

Ryne froze, she heard the howl of a wolf.
"Koko," she gasped.
Ryne, Leo and Demon were out of the "ring of fire" now, but they would now have to make their way through the gagging smoke to find the others.
Ryne raised her snout and howled a response to Koko, telling her that they were near.
Her song was loud and deep.

Demon heard the howl, and threw her head back, releasing a long howl, about the same as Koko's. "Koko we're over here!" she howled in mid-air. She threw her head back down, "Hold on... I'm going to go get Koko." she said, as she ran through the flames, her blood spilling wiht every step. d**n I hate when I get burns..., she thought sourly. She tripped, like always when she runs full speed, and tumbled forward twotimes before sliding on her blood. She got up, and squinted, trying to see through the burning flames in her face. As smoke filled ehr lungs heat burned her body. She rna though the flames, and saw Koko standing in front of her. "Koko, I found you!" she exclaimed. Her necklace bouncing from her chest.

Ryne glanced from the direction Demon had gone, to the direction Kaaye and the others were.
Rose... or Demon... The words kept ringing in her mind, Rose os the beacon... go to her... Demon is your friend follow her... Ryne clentched her teeth in confusion.
"Leo," she mumbled, "I think one of us should go one way, and the other another." Ryne did not say however, which way she was going. She would let Leo decide where he wanted to go.
Jaro turned to Kaaye, his face full of concern.
"I knew I should have gone with them... But I was too afraid... And now Demon's probably dead because of me..."
