Blood ran down my legs and dripped in a puddle on the ground. My lips were curled back in a snarl, my eyes holding aggresion like no other. My golden orbs scanned the pack of filthy mutts that stood. They formed a circled all around me, but my eyes were trained on the leader. My chest rose and fell quickly as I panted for breath. A coughing sounds escaped my lips as blood filled my mouth with its metallic taste. "It's a shame, it really is. You would have made a great addition to this pack." A red mutt spoke these words; the leader. "I could never join a pack of filthy mutts." I stuttered, my retaliation would no doubt have a negative effect. His snarl made me lift my head just in time to be tackled to the ground. My back was against the ground before I could react, his paw pressing against my neck. "You're finished." he whispered in my ear. Before I could react, he jumped away and I was covered in a mass of bodies. My skin was torn and ripped as the pack jumped upon me. I clawed and bit what I could as I tried to emerge for air and possibly freedom. My jaw clasped shut on an exposed underbelly and a yelp rang through the air as I burst through. With all the strength I had left, I ran. Their yips and barks sounded as they ran after me; but that only made me run faster. The sun was high in the sky, and beat down on my pelt unrelentlessly. As I ran, I threw my head up in the air and howled. I called for help before I lowered my head once again and focused on escaping. My claws clicked on the pavement as I ran, and I just knew that I was attracting attention. Think about it, a huge blue-grey dog - if you will - running from a pack of dogs; that's not too good for my reputation. As I passed within a shadow where I was well hidden for a moment, I let my human form slip over. The dogs, being as stupid as they were, kept running, right past me. When the last of them faded, I walked away to slip to the depths of an alley. Blood stained my clothes, and my hand was held tight against my side as I limped, taking a seat on the hard floor. I prayed that the dogs wouldn't come back, I couldn't take them all on at once; not by myself anyway.
