The wolves have come to bask in the moonlit night. The bright moon gives them strength. Fills them with joy and happiness. And a never ending feeling of freedom. Until that bright moon ends. Then the moon disappears, and then appears the Black Moon. Though, when will the Black Moon appear. Could it help them? Help the wolves with their never ending journey to find Paradise? Or, is the Black Moon just a myth. A myth of power. A myth that was said to give the Flower Maiden a longer lived life. And even the possibility to freely open the doors to Paradise. If so, Paradise is nothing but corruption and sorrow. Or, is it what wolves believe it to be. The Black Moon. The gate to Paradise?

Chapter 1 ~ Midnight
Chapter 1
Midnight
The rain, it fell soft and slowly. Pounding the ground, one drop at a time. Slowly turning the soft, white ground, into nothing more than a faded gray slushy. Each drop was nothing but comfort to a wolf's ears as it trudded through the ankle deep mush. Lifting it's feet with delicate, elegance and pouncing foreward with nothing but beauty. It's fur all to different from that of the ground. Pitch black, just as the midnight sky. The rain pounded against it's muscular shoulders. Slowly sliding from it's soft silky fur. With ears pointed foreward. And muscles stressed. Pushing foreward without stopping for even the smallest of a break. What was it searching for? No, that's not it. Would it find it? That's much more to suit it's purpose. It new what it was looking for, but didn't know what to look for. It new it would find it, but didn't know when it would. So many questions would run through it's head. They still were. From the time it began till the time this wolf shall die. This wolf, the wolf of the midnight sky. The wolf with the beautiful black fur, was Kuroi. This long journey it, no she, had decided to take. Was the journey to Paradise. Well, at least to try and find it. If it was even possible. To be truthful. She had no idea why she was trying to find Paradise. And in her heart, she had her doubts that it didn't exist. They were over powering the thoughts and feelings that it did exist. So, to why she was trying to find Paradise. A possible none existent place, she had no idea. Maybe it was just because she would try and prove that it didn't exist to those who believed it did. Why should a wolf spend it's life searching for something that didn't exist. But, even though her doubt was stronger than the belief. The belief that made her do this. Was the thought of happiness. A world completely made for wolves, that wasn't corrupted like this one had been. That thought, just that one thought. Was enough to push her to do it. Now that she had started this journey. She wasn't going to give up, or would she? She herself wasn't even sure to that answer. Now, with the only things guiding her so far being the gray sky above, rolling with heavy rain clouds, and her own instinct. She would find Paradise. On her own if she had to. Or even, something greater. Something more meaningful, to the black wolf.
~*~*~*~|Freeze City|~*~*~*~
This city, it seemed nothing more than a pile of trash from the view of Kuroi. But, why was she to complain. She herself was nothing more than considered trash, though you had to make the best of what you had. The best of what you could do. If you didn't you would died. Be killed, and eaten. That's nature's law. Either kill or be killed and eat or be eaten. One of the two. Kuroi couldn't remember exactly which law was more important. The eating or the killing. The eating personally sounded golden right about now. The pit of her stomach snarled and curled within itself. Obvious sign she was hungry. But what food was there? From what she had seen so far was nothing but trash, buildings, and humans who whispered among themselves at the site of her. Were they fearful at the site of such a large dog, as they would call her in her whispers. She'd just snicker in her mind from their pitiful insignificant minds. Couldn't even tell a wolf from a dog. Pathetic. Of course, that wasn't horrible. Not for the wolves at least. They could hide in disguise if they were mistaken for dogs. Well, actually there is even another way. They themselves could take on human form and trick the humans and make them believe the wolves were one of them. The alleys of this city were dark, cluttered with trash and other debri's such as broken glass, crates, and card board boxes. Kuroi occasionally stopped and spoke with the animals. Asking them of the cities inhabitants and obtaining the knowledge she wanted to know. She'd then be off, either to sniff around for food, or something else. She made her way through the city with little disturbance. There had merely been the occasional stares. Shouting and such, but she didn't mind, she simply minded her own business and completely ignored the humans. By now, the sky had shaded itself. Now turning from it's once gray color, due to rain clouds and the stormy day, to an even darker shade of gray. Slowly that gray faded away into a black. And that black darkness was accompanied by the cities street lights. The streets were now, somewhat, empty. Though Kuroi still didn't bother much to use them. She stuck to the alleys and roof tops. Continuing across the city until she managed to come to a part which actually seemed a little sootheing to her. A small forest like area. Full of trees and light colored grass. Of course considering the amount of light. They were all shaded black. It still looked like a nice place to rest to Kuroi. So, she of course made her way into and through the opening of two or so trees. Walking for a long while before finding a patch of tall grass that looked suitable for a bed. She nuzzled the grass with her snout, walked around it a few times, circling and then finalling. Letting her hind legs collapse beneath her and slowly lowering her chest to the ground. She was still starved, having picked nothing up as she had made her way to this area. She would have to find something for her to eat tomorrow. She looked up towards the sky. The moon shined brightly, though it was nothing close to the glory and beauty of the full moon. Her eyes stared at the moon, it's color was just the same as her eyes. If you'd stare into her wolven eyes long enough. You'd probably end up believing you were staring at two full moon's. Slowly, she tilted her head and throat up towards the air. Reaching her snout as high as she could into the air while laying down. Parting her jaws just a bit, a sorrowful howl escaped from the powerful jaws. It filled the night's air. Echoing throughout the cities buildings. Traveling through the cities walls, and scattering across the land. Slowly, the beautiful, loathsome howling ceased, the black wolf folded her paws over one another. Slid her hind legs out from beneath each other, rested her head upon her paws, gently closed her eyes. And fell asleep.
~*~*~|Cheza|~*~*~
This one hears you crying, but this one does not see you. Her eyes shot open. Emotionless red eyes staring through sparkling water down at humans who lingered below. There were only two. A man dressed in white lab clothes. And a woman with blonde hair, also dressed in white lab clothes. Their eyes were widened as they stared up at the girl whom hung in the spherical orb, filled with the life giving water. They murmured between each other and seemed to check a few things. The blonde headed woman stared at her for a long time. Though the girl gave no sign of emotion back to her. Slowly. Her eyes began to close. And soon, they were once again shut.[/center]
