Birth
[/u]A lot of parents would be delighted at the birth of their new pup. They'd praise it and love it and not turn it down. Not my parent's, not my father at least. Of how he acted. I think he pure right hated me. And I couldn't even open my eyes when I came out. I couldn't even see him. Or my mother. But, I could feel her slowly slip away. Into death. My mother died, and my father. He abandoned me.

A large creamy, brown wolf paced impatiently at the exit of a cave. His foot prints disturbing the snow covered beneath at his paws. Inside, his mate was giving birth. And the only thing he knew to do was to run in and out the cave to comfort her.
His ears perked as he heard a quiet howl. Quickly running into the cave, making his way to the back where a pitch white wolf lay upon a bed of dead grass. Only one pup lay moving. It was pitch black. It wiggled and squirmed around yipping and whining.
"Please, Letum" The white wolf said, gently lifting her head. Only to have it fall back upon the grass. She panted heavily. Her eyes staring at the pup.
"Burui" Letum spoke slowly, he watched as the wolf closed her eyes. Not to open them ever again. His eyes widened with sadness. At his feet the black wolf yipped and whined. He stared down at it and snarled.
"Your to different! You caused her death! If it wasn't for you! She'd still be alive! Normally three of four pups are had, why only you? Are you an omen!?" He snarled, making the small pup whine even more. He stomped his paws against the ground and flipped his head. Looking from his dead mate, to the black pup that lay upon the ground squirming about, and then to thew entrance of the cave. He looked back at the pup and snorted, he walked foreward. Placing his snout next to Burui's and sitting. Completely ignoring the pup. He nuzzled her snout, wishing he knew what she was going to tell him. Slowly he lifted his head, a howl of sorrow and pain escaped from them. The pup whined. Making the cream colored wolf snarl and growl. He slowly rose and walked towards the entrance of the cave. Looking back, he then turned and jumped from the cave's entrance and ran away. Running from the pup, and his dead mate.

"Quickly, we must hurry!"
Multiple wolves, either a mixed white or a creamy brown quickly made their way up the path that lead towards the cave where the black pup and the dead mother. Having heard the howl only moments ago. They quickened their pace with each step.
It wasn't long for them to get there. They stood at the entrance. Staring back towards the dead wolf and the pup that lay whimpering on the ground. Unprotected, and hungry. One of the wolves stepped foreward. It was the largest that was among the group. Apparently the leader, the alpha. He made his way to the pup. Sniffing it and examining it's body. Such a strange color for their pack. It was extremely rare. And as he nuzzled it with his snout. It's tiny fur. It was so soft, so silky. Beautiful. He lifted his head from the pup and examined the carcuss of Burui. His eyes saddened.
"Burui is dead, and apparently, Letum has abandoned his pup and left it for dead" The wolf said looking back at the pack. Slowly he lifted his head, releasing a mighty howl. It was sootheing. Though loathsome and filled with misery of the loss of Burui. But also the happiness of such a pup as this one. But, what was it's name? That could be dealt with later. For now, they would take care of the wolf that lay dead.
The alpha commanded the pack to lift Burui's corpse. The alpha took the small pup up in his jaws, gently making sure he didn't hurt it. He lead the pack out of the cave, slowly making his way towards a path that was unknown to most of the mountains. There, he continued leading the pack. The pup still within his jaws and Burui upon the back of one of the stronger wolves. They were lead to a lake, the pack had never seen it. Though as the alpha remembered. Burui loved this area, she had even told him about it. And that's how he knew where it was. This was where Burui was to be laid to rest. And this was where she was laid to rest. Among a patch of beautiful flowers. Just as beautiful as herself.[/center]
